A Duo of Melons at Shang Palace
This May, Executive Chinese Chef Mok Kit Keung at Michelin two-starred Shang Palace pampers guests with a refreshing selection of winter melon and bitter melon delicacies, all prepared in a variety of creative ways.
The monthly special à la carte menu includes Chilled Marinated Bitter Marrow with Sergestid Shrimp and Peanut; Doubled-Boiled Winter Melon Soup with Crab Meat and Yunnan Ham; Braised Winter Melon Balls with Conpoy Sauce served in a Winter Melon; Steamed Fish Head with Bitter Marrow and Garlic in Preserved Bean Sauce; Sautéed Red Flower Crab and Bitter Marrow with Black Bean Sauce; Wok-Fried Clam with Two Kinds of Bitter Marrow in Soy Bean Sauce; Pan-Fried Omelettes with Bitter Marrow and Oyster and Winter Melon Tea with Aloe Vera.
Royal Blue Lobster at Nadaman
From 1 to 31 May 2015, Nadaman delights seafood lovers with a royal delicacy – blue lobster – from Brittany, France. Priced at only HK$600 or HK$1,200 for half or a whole piece, respectively, diners can enjoy the wild crustacean prepared to their liking, including sashimi, teppanyaki, shabu-shabu, tempura, grilled and more.

Paolo Scavino Wine Dinner at Angelini
For one night only on 28 May 2015, Angelini presents a palatable five-course gourmet dinner complemented with seven highly rated vintages of Barolo wines from the Italian winery Paolo Scavino for HK$1,380 per person.
The dinner starts with a glass of white-blend wine, Langhe Bianco, Sorriso, 2011, followed by a cold starter of Beef Tartar, Foie Gras and Almond Cream complemented with Barbera d’ Alba, Affinato in Carati, 2011.
Guests can also look forward to a hot appetiser of Cream of Beans, Clams, Seared Red Prawns and Rosemary Bread Croutons matched with Langhe Nebbiolo, 2010. The fine-dining journey continues with a pasta course of Saffron Risotto, Broad Beans with Slow-Cooked Veal Cheek accompanied by Barolo, 2009 and a main course of Lamb Skewer, “Frigitelli”, Extra-Virgin Olive Oil Powder matched with Barolo, Bric del Fiasc, 2008 and Barolo, Riserva, “Rocche della Annunziata”, 2006.
The meal will be concluded with an extensive cheese selection complemented with Barolo, Carobric (Magnum), 1998.
Sweet Fruit Flavours at Déli Kool
A pleasantly sweet 1.5-pound Royal Passion Spring Cake made with layers of almond dacquoise, mixed fruit jelly and vanilla mousseline cream is available throughout May for HK$300. Green Tea Butter Cookies priced at HK$85 per 100 grams are also on offer.
