The hotel’s sommeliers, Yohann Jousselin and Nerea Sorribes, have lined up two exclusive one-night-only wine dinners showcasing highly regarded varietals of noteworthy vintages at Angelini.
Gastronomic Wine Dinner at Angelini
On 13 September 2016, our award-winning Master Sommelier Johann Jousselin will host an exclusive prestigious evening for 12 connoisseurs, featuring an epicurean six-course porcini dinner and an expansive selection of 12 revered Italian wines highlighting outstanding vintages, such as 2008, 2005, 1974, 1967 and 1964, from Gaja, Soldera and Borgogno.
The featured wines are Franciacorta, Bagnadore, Barone Pizzini 2006; Langhe, Gaja e Rei, Angelo Gaja 2010; Campania, Montevetrano, Silvia Imparato 2005; Toscana, Tua Rita, Giusto di Notri 2008; Toscana, Case Basse, Gianfranco Soldera 2008; Toscana, Solaia, Antinori 2008; Barolo Riserva, Borgogno 1964; Barolo Riserva, Fontanafredda 1967; Barolo Riserva, Marchesi di Barolo 1974; Amarone della Valpolicella, Bertani 2001; Recioto della Valpolicella Classico, Bertani 1981 and Toscana, Ornus dell’Ornellaia 2010。
The menu includes Scallop Carpaccio, Porcini Mushroom Salad, Baby Spinach and Lemon Jelly; Pan-Fried Pumpkin Flower filled with Burrata Cheese, Anchovies and Grilled Porcini; Pappardelle with Lamb Ragu, Black Truffle, Porcini Mushrooms and Pumpkin; Turbot Fillet, Aromatic-Herb Cream, Porcini Mushrooms and Veal Sauce; and Coaled Bresse Duck Breast, Amarone Sauce and Porcini Mushrooms.
The six-course wine dinner is priced at HK$3,888 per person.
Ceretto Wine Dinner at Angelini
On 29 September 2016, diners are invited to explore the incredible flavours and greatness of nine fine wines from the Ceretto wineries through a perfectly paired six-course dinner meticulously prepared by Chef Alessandro. Highlights of the evening include Langhe, Arneis, Blange 2015; Barbaresco, Bernardot 2008; Barbaresco, Bernardot 2007; Barbaresco, Asili 2003; Barolo, Brunate 2008; Barolo, Bricco Rocche 2005; Barbaresco Riserva, Riccardo 1964; Barolo Riserva, Riccardo Ceretto 1964; Barolo Chinato NV。
The dinner menu features Porcini Mushrooms Tiramisu; Fassone Beef Tartare, Almond Cream, Kumquat and Foie Gras; Ravioli with Extra-Virgin Olive Oil and Lime Octopus Soup; Crispy Suckling Pork Belly, White Polenta, Green Apples and Beetroot; Cheese Selection; and Alba Hazelnut Tart.
The wine dinner is priced at HK$1,980 per person.
Lobster Craze at Café Kool
Café Kool presents different hot baked lobster specials and chilled lobsters every night at its dinner buffet. Guests may relish grilled lobsters prepared in a variety of butter sauces, such as Lemon Dill Butter, Shichimi Togarashi-infused Lemon Butter Sauce, Garlic-Herb Butter, Lobster Butter with Roe and more. Other highlights include Lobster Bisque, Lobster Mousse with Truffle, Baked Lobster with Wasabi Mayonnaise, Lobster Thermidor, Lobster Ramen with Sake-Miso Paste and Lobster Gratin with Emmental Cheese. The buffet is available between 1 and 30 September 2016, except 15 and 16 September 2016.

Royal Blue Lobster at Shang Palace
Throughout September, Chef Mok spoils diners with the sweet and flavourful flesh of a royal delicacy – blue lobster – delivered fresh from France.
A la carte menu highlights include Steamed French Brittany Blue Lobster with Konjac and Garlic Trio, Chilled French Brittany Blue Lobster with Chef Mok’s Special Vinegar Sauce, Wok-Fried French Brittany Blue Lobster with Matsutake Mushrooms and Butter, Sautéed French Brittany Blue Lobster with White Peppercorn, Braised French Brittany Blue Lobster with Egg Noodles, Spring Onion and Ginger and more. A set menu is also available at HK$988 per person.
Omakase – Chef’s Choice at Nadaman
The hotel’s talented sushi chef flexes his culinary talents by preparing a seasonal Omakase. The menu highlights a heavenly combination of sashimi and sushi using the highest-quality daily seafood. Other dishes include an in-season appetiser, Traditional Grilled Hamo Pike Eel in Kenchi Style, and Grilled Eggplant with Miso Paste and Simmered Sweet Potato. The Omakase menu is priced from HK$1,000 per person and available from 1 to 30 September 2016.
Yaegaki Sake Dinner at Nadaman
Between 12 and 18 September 2016, guests can sample the highly regarded Yaegaki Sake from Hyogo Prefecture at Nadaman. The sake, winner of gold medals at the prestigious Monde Selection Awards in Europe for eight consecutive years, is paired with a five-course dinner designed by Chef Kojima and priced at HK$1,380 per person.
The sake selection includes Yaegaki Mu (Green Nothingness) Junmai Daiginjo Sake, Yaegaki Mu (Black Nothingness) Junmai Daiginjo Sake, Yaegaki Mu (Purple Nothingness) Junmai Daiginjo Sake, Yaegaki Junmai-shu and Yaegaki Omachi Junmai Ginjo.
In the spotlight are Boiled Matsutake Mushroom with Mibuna Vegetables; Hamo Pike Eel Sushi with Sansho Pepper and Pickled Myoga Ginger; Simmered Lobster, Kamo-Nasu Eggplant with Grated Radish Sauce, Bell Pepper and Citrus Pepper; Teppanyaki-Grilled Australian Wagyu Sirloin Steak with Seasonal Vegetables; Sweetened Tapioca Cream with Red Bean Paste and Vanilla Ice Cream; and more.
Japanese Tea-Time Treats at Lobby Lounge
From 12 September to 31 October 2016, Lobby Lounge presents a very-Japanese array of sweets and savouries at its weekday afternoon tea set and weekend afternoon tea buffet.
Priced at HK$248 for one and HK$398 for two persons, the afternoon tea set features Yakitori Rolls, Seared Sesame Tuna with Wasabi Mayonnaise, Potato Korokke with Sweet Soy Glaze, Mixed Berries in Wafer Tartlet, Warm Chocolate Cakes and more. The tea set is available from 2 to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday.

This September and October, Tapas Bar lends a unique fizz to classic cocktails using a Perlini shaker. The refreshing carbonated concoctions include Margarita, Daiquiri, Cosmopolitan, Aviation, Whisky Sour and Jack Rose at HK$160 per glass.
Grand Marnier Equinox at Déli Kool
Deli Kool introduces a Grand Marnier Equinox Cake this September to delight those with a sweet tooth. With layers of fluffy almond sponge, chocolate crunch and Grand Marnier-flavoured Orange Compote, the 1.5-lb cake is priced at HK$300 only.
