Known for his talent in handcrafting edible works of art at Island Shangri-La, Hong Kong’s Island Gourmet, area pastry chef Alain Guillet is excited to wow guests of Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong from 15 September to 31 December 2019, by presenting his best-selling creations at the pop-up store located in the hotel lobby.

Freshly made every day with the finest ingredients, Chef Alain’s signature cakes include Frou Frou (dark chocolate mousse with macaroon biscuits and crispy praline); Raspberry Mille-Feuille (layers of caramelised puff pastry with whipped vanilla cream and fresh raspberries); Folly (pistachio–almond dacquoise biscuits with vanilla bavarois and fresh mangoes); Berries Charlotte (ladyfinger biscuits with vanilla bavarois and mixed fresh berries); and Mozart (almond–hazelnut dacquoise with crispy praline, thin layers of milk chocolate, JIVARA milk chocolate ganache and whipped milk chocolate cream).
