KTO woos Vietnamese tourists with unique products

egtmedia59The Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO) has some strong marketing strategies for the latter part of this year, whereby it hopes to increase the number of Vietnamese tourists to Korea and enhance their travel experience. The KTO is all geared to introduce new tour products in collaboration with its local Vietnamese travel partners at the on-going International Tourism Fair (ITE 2016) in Ho Chi Minh City. Korea. Mr Jung will officially make these announcements on the 9th September at the ITE.

It is no secret that the Vietnamese love Korean culture, right from the TV dramas and pop music, to fashion styles. This, in turn, has given rise to an increase in the travel demand to Korea. “Vietnamese tourists come to Korea to see the beautiful scenery from the movies with their own eyes as also attend the K-pop eventful concerts in person. They also have a taste for traditional Korean dishes,” clarified Mr Jung. “Consequently, we are trying to introduce not only the natural beauty of Korea but also many other tourism services to Vietnam’s market such as tours combining beauty and health care, tours for workshops and conferences, tours experiencing the Hallyu wave and so on,” he said.

The KTO Director hoped that by participating in the ITE 2016 HCMC, his office would provide co-participants from Korea with the opportunity to interact, work and seek the possibility of cooperation with Vietnamese buyers, simultaneously bringing images of Korean tourism one step closer to HCMC outbound tourists.

Mr Jung further stated that the KTO would serve the growing needs of special theme oriented tours among Vietnam outbound travelers by focussing on niche markets.“Several tour products that specialise on beauty and wellness, honeymoon, weddings, biking and self-drive caravans will be widely introduced. Beginning with small groups, more and more Vietnam travellers will be choosing better quality products with unique properties for their own trips,” he concluded.
