Kyoto City Tourism Association is pleased to share the news that from March 2019, Kyoto will be home to a newly launched series of edutaining experiences aimed at the family travel market.
Founded by Family Experience Japan (FEJ), a venture started by Kyoto mothers, the “Kids Experience” series is the city’s first “edutainment” program exclusively designed for overseas families visiting Kyoto.
Kyoto is renowned for its beautiful shrines and temples, world-class restaurants and fascinating neighbourhoods and the “edutainment” program provides a great opportunity for parents to explore the “cultural capital of Japan” knowing that their children are taken care of and enjoying their own valuable Kyoto experiences learning about the city’s fascinating culture and bonding with like-minded children and locals.
Local and cultural experiences are at the heart of the program with activities aiming to create close relationships with local Kyoto people allowing children to connect with the very essence of the destination.
Having been launched by education and childcare experts, the service prides itself on nothing but the best of quality with the FEJ team and their partners, a team of local Kyoto mothers, coming from a wide variety of professions such as education, tourism, food industry, hospitality industry, designers and artists allowing them to bring a rich base of local knowledge to their programs.
