La Reserve has opened a unique beach club on the famed Plage de Pamelonne close to St Tropez. This chic new Pampelonne stopover is on one of the most iconic beaches of the St Tropez peninsula. LaRéserve à la Plage, has been created in cooperation with designer Philippe Starck. Starck has recalled the heady pop-art vibe of the original Tropezian myth. This place is a veritable invitation to dream: filled with bright colours to accentuate the purity of the natural materials in the surroundings.

This is the first time the luxury Riviera hotel will open a beach club. La Plage de Pampeloone is arguably one of the most famous beaches in the world. Sun-seekers flock to the beach, some by land and some by sea—boating from nearby Saint-Tropez and the super yachts cruising the Mediterranean waters just offshore. Bien sûr, it’s a party playground, but the beach is also a place of relaxation and beauty, classified as a “remarkable natural space” beneath the green hills of Ramatuelle.

In the midst of this hip scene, La Réserve Ramatuelle’s new beach club offers a restaurant and lounge chairs for soaking up the sun—cocktail in hand. Sunny lunchtime flavours have been designed by Eric Canino, Executive Chef of the Michel-starred La Voile restaurant at La Réserve Ramatuelle, with the help of Nicolas Cantrel, chef of La Réserve à la Plage. The menu celebrates generous and fragrant Mediterranean cuisine with its ethos of sharing and freshness. The wood-fired barbecue turns the spotlight on freshly caught grilled fish, accompanied by vegetables enhanced with local aromatic herbs, some of them straight from the hotel’s vegetable garden. It offers a chance to transition seamlessly – and barefoot – from warm sand to patina parquet flooring in order to share tapas or a friendly lunch facing stunning views. At the end of the day, the atmosphere turns more festive, with music and champagne to savour the gentle mood of the moment, feet in the sand, head in the stars, eyes gazing across countless shades of blue. An ideal stopover before moving on to the hectic Saint-Tropez nightlife.

For those who want to return to the quiet splendour of La Reserve Ramatuelle there’s a complimentary shuttle for driving guests from the hotel, a 10-minute ride away. The villas—newly renovated last year—offer extra privacy and exclusivity. And there’s a Michelin-starred restaurant overlooking the sea and a spa which draws guests for both wellness and fitness programs (think boot camp, Nescens better-aging program and more).

Route de l’Epi – Pampelonne – 83350 Ramatuelle – France Open to all, from mid-April to mid-October Daily from 11am to 8pm in high season, may be privatized in the evening on request
