La Residence Hotel & Spa, a 1930-built art deco marvel in the one-time imperial capital of Vietnam, has named Edouard Lallemand as its new executive assistant manager.
The 33-year-old French native comes to Hue’s most storied hotel after a two-year stint in Danang where he worked at the Pullman Resort as rooms division manager. Previously, he worked for Sofitel in Turkmenistan and Luxembourg, and in France at the Four Seasons Resort Provence.
He received a post-graduate diploma in hospitality management from the Glion Higher Institute of Higher Education, and achieved a master’s degree in business at the Institute Superieur de Gestion in Paris.
In March, La Residence connected the dots on a new food trail, the Hue Food Trail, through the city’s finest noodle shops, nhà hàng and quánas an entrée to an authentic appreciation of Vietnamese cuisine in the one-time imperial capital of Vietnam.

In May, the hotel introduced a $2,500 5-night package, the Wonders of Vietnam, that takes in five UNESCO World Heritage sites and experiences in central Vietnam.
And in June, the hotel joined the Quintessential Collection Vietnam, an exclusive group of the top hotels in each of Vietnam’s five most compelling destinations.
