LATAM Airlines has been appointed to a new Whole-of-Australian-Government airline panel, following a procurement process by The Department of Finance for the provision of Air Travel Services to the Australian Government.
This is a milestone achievement for LATAM Airlines as it is the first time the airline has been appointed to the panel and the five year contract will provide discounted and flexible fares for government employees from Australia to South America as well as from Sydney to Auckland.
LATAM Airlines offers daily flights from Sydney to Santiago, Chile, on board its next-generation fleet of 787-9 aircraft, with onward connections to over 137 destinations including key business hubs such as Sao Paulo, Rio De Janeiro, Lima, Buenos Aires, Antofagasta, Bogota, Belo Horizonte, Montevideo and Quito.
“We are excited to announce our successful appointment to the Whole-of-Australian-Government airline panel. This agreement will provide a range of savings and benefits to government travellers, including access to our unrivalled network in South America and outstanding on-board service and amenities,” said Patricio Aylwin, Managing Director Asia Pacific, LATAM Airlines Group.
“LATAM Airlines recently unveiled its new brand identity and this deal coincides with our new direction. As South America’s leading airline it’s an honour to be selected for this panel and working in partnership with the Australian government,” added Aylwin.
