LAUNCHING THIS WEEK: It’s a European Summer at the Emporium Hotel Cocktail Bar!

Fill your imagination with the taste of Summer, the sound of sunshine and the colour of a sunset.

Welcome to Summer 2013/14 at Emporium Hotel Cocktail Bar, where guests are taken on a journey through the South of France, the Amalfi Coastline, Spain and the Mediterranean, with a nod to the very best of Australian escapes – all this in an exotic lineup of new cocktail experiences (images and recipes available!).

Turquoise water, fuchsia sunsets, breath-taking views, sun kissed landscapes and a sense of holiday nonchalance frame the essence of Summer in Europe. From October 16 the creatives behind the Emporium Hotel Cocktail Bar will pay homage to the famed European Summer through their newly unveiled Cocktail Menu – every creation promising a glimpse of perhaps the Amalfi Coastline, St. Tropez, sunset at Cannes, or a clifftop at Santorini. Emporium Hotel Cocktail Bar’s elegant new gallery of libations is inspired by the cool, sophisticated flavour and flair of the European summertime featuring Classics with a Twist, Summer Punch mixes, Gin Specials and Emporium Favourites.   • Pleasurable Punches – Punch is the juice of summer; fruity, fresh and flirtatious with each jug designed to be shared with friends. Emporium’s new European Punch Cocktails feature recipes inspired by the flavours of the Mediterranean (featuring fresh herbs and fruit).
  • The Gin Cocktails – In a first for Emporium Hotel’s Cocktail Bar, a specialist Gin Tonica Menu will be available for Summer. The menu features five different Gin varietals including the Beefeater 24, Gin Mare, Tanqueray 10 and Plymouth Navy Strength (cocktail recipes all available on request).
  • Summer Sojourn Menu – From St Tropez to Paris this menu is created to honour Europe’s classics with a twist. A sneak peak at this menu includes cocktails such as the Sgroppino, Parisian Julep and Montenegro Times.
  • The Emporium Classics – This menu stars a collection of the Emporium’s crowd favourites, made with signature skill we present the Pavlova Martini, Polish Princess, Queensland Mule, From Spain with Love and the Passionfruit Chi Chi.

Complementing the exquisite range of Cocktails, Champagnes and Wines on the list, a custom-created tapas menu has been designed by Head Chef Scott Andrews for guests to share, these feature; Charcuterie Sharing Plate, Saganaki, House Made ‘Polpette’, Duck Liver Parfait and much more.  The new menu will be launched at the stunning Emporium Hotel Cocktail Bar in the evening on Wednesday October 16 and available throughout spring and summer for guests of the Hotel and Brisbane locals to enjoy.

Emporium Hotel General Manager Peter Savoff said the new European inspired cocktail menu was perfect to create that Summer escape feeling right here in Brisbane. “Our new Cocktail menu is Emporium Hotel’s nod to the quintessential European and Australian summer cultures – great sunshine, cool cocktails and the incredible coastal atmosphere,” he said.
