Lawhill Wines and Spirits have come on-board as an official sponsor of the Tourism Fiji Wedding Expo 2016 – an event that is already attracting a range of different service providers, as well as interested bridal parties from as far as Dubai.
Lawhill Wines and Spirits will host a Champagne and Cocktail Party on the first day of the Expo on Saturday, 19 March which will feature Ms Kim Williams of Lawhill, who has spent over 15 years running bars and making cocktails with a vast experience in wine appreciation.
The cocktail event will also showcase an internationally recognised fashion designer from Fiji who will present some of his latest designs during a fashion show.
Lawhill Fiji Limited General Manager, Mr Phillip Low says, “Fiji Coffee and Lawhill Wines and Spirits have always been and will continue to be a working partner for Tourism Fiji.”
“We began many years ago with supporting the various international roadshows and expos by providing Fiji Coffee gift-pack bags as giveaways. We believe that Tourism Fiji is the key to keeping tourism dependent companies like ours operating. If we don’t have tourists, we don’t have a business,” he explains.
Mr Low says that the Lawhill Wines and Spirits team have come up with a theme for the cocktail event dubbed ‘A Sparkling Sunset’. “We’ll begin the evening with our famous [Yellow Tail] Pink Bubbles – followed by a “Sparkling Sunset” – which is bubbles with a scoop of tropical sorbet/granita. Then onto an evening of French Sparkling.”
Tourism Fiji Director of Event, Ms Sally Cooper confirmed that over 20 exhibitors have already registered to showcase their products at the inaugural Wedding Expo.
“In addition to bridal parties coming to the event to source and secure services for their weddings and honeymoon in Fiji, Tourism Fiji has invited some of the top bridal magazines to attend as well as professional wedding travel planners that specialise on destination weddings,” she says.
“Weddings in Fiji are big business and it is an industry that promotes entrepreneurs in small and medium business. Having a wedding exhibition in Fiji makes it economically viable and accessible for these small and medium business,” Ms Cooper adds.
The registrations for the two-day Tourism Fiji Wedding Expo is currently open.
