From today, Bothfeet, the leading Victorian-based walking operator, will be known as Twelve Apostles Lodge Walk.

image01The name change, and accompanying re-branding, is designed to more accurately describe the company’s  popular walk along Victoria’s South West Coast which culminates at the iconic Twelve Apostles.

Dana Ronan, Director of Twelve Apostles Lodge Walk, explained the reason for the new name: “We felt that Twelve Apostles Lodge Walk was a more apt name and explains how the company has evolved over the last ten years.  We are now just focusing on this one popular walk, so it made sense to have the same company name as the product name.  In addition, when we built the eco-lodge at Johanna Beach in 2008, it immediately became a pivotal component of the product.  So, in short, Twelve Apostles Lodge Walk describes exactly who we are and what we do!”

Running parallel to the Great Ocean Road, the 56 kilometre guided walk delivers world class hiking with stunning coastal views.  The four-day walks are complemented by three nights comfortable accommodation at the chic, purpose built lodge where guests can relax after a day of walking with luxurious foot spas and massages on demand. In addition, they will enjoy a variety of delicious meals prepared by an imaginative chef who uses the freshest of local fine foods in all his gourmet menus.

Launched in 2005, the demand for the guided walk has been so great that in the last year an additional 20 walks have been added bringing the total number of walks departures in the nine -month walking calendar to 88.

“One of the things we are very proud of is the fact that the price of our entry point walking tours of $1995 has remained unchanged for five years. Even better, we now include a scenic helicopter flight over the Twelve Apostles which is a great way to finish the walk ,” said Ronan.

The price of the Twelve Apostles Lodge Walk includes return Melbourne transfers to the Twelve Apostles, daily gourmet meals including morning and afternoon teas, non-alcoholic drinks and walking gear.  There is no single supplement for single travellers and they are catered for in single rooms.
