Airport Campus, the lecture series organised by Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH at the future Capital Airport BER, is entering its tenth semester. The opening lecture will be held by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Engelbert Lütke Daldrup, Chief Executive Officer of Berlin Brandenburg Airport, on 23 October 2018 on the subject of “Airport development in the capital region”. The lecture will take place at 18:00 in the Berlin-Brandenburg Airport Center ²BAC (Willy-Brandt-Platz 2, 12529 Schönefeld).

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Engelbert Lütke Daldrup, Chief Executive Officer of Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH: “Today, the sectors surrounding the airport are a stimulus for creating new jobs. The opening of the BER in October 2020 will further strengthen this development. In the competition for the most talented people, Airport Campus enables us to present the airport and the region as attractive employers. This concept has proven to be successful over the past 10 years.”

This winter semester, there will be a total of three events on aviation and airport-specific topics held by specialists and managers from the airport company and its partners. The lecture will be followed by a guided tour of the terminal and the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes at the BER. The recruiting team at Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH will also be providing information about career opportunities with the airport company.

The free Airport Campus Evenings are primarily aimed at students from universities in the catchment area of the new capital airport BER. To participate, students must register informally by sending an email to airportcampus@berlin-airport.de stating their name, university and degree course. The number of participants is limited.

The Airport Campus university project was launched in 2008 as part of the airport company’s work in the surrounding area. Since then, 54 lectures have taken place and more than 3,300 students from Berlin and Brandenburg have taken part.
