Stories shared highlight ICC Sydney’s connection point between community and clients

International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney) has taken its event legacy message to IMEX America, with the team sharing yet more examples of how its people and world class in-house services are demonstrating ICC Sydney as More Than a Venue at a press conference this morning in Las Vegas.

Since the More Than a Venue campaign launch in May this year, the venue has gone from strength-to-strength on deepening its connections across Sydney’s arts and culture, food and wine, and innovation communities.

Supported by the venue’s Legacy Program streams of Generation Next, Innovators and Entrepreneurs, First Australians, Sustainable Events and Creative Industries, the stories shared by ICC Sydney highlight its role in acting as a connection between the local community and clients.

From creating opportunities for young and emerging performers to take to the venue’s global stage, to exhibiting artwork during events from First Nations artists or providing opportunities for local startups to pitch their ideas to delegates, ICC Sydney’s deep community connections are providing clients with a platform to give back while enriching delegate engagement.

In addition to ICC Sydney’s Legacy Program, the venue’s Feeding Your Performance procurement strategy is placing local produce in front of an international audiences. With direct relationships with 129 New South Wales-based farmers and producers, and a 92% New South Wales wine collection, delegates are served the finest ingredients and wines from across the State.

CEO of ICC Sydney, Geoff Donaghy said delivering the press conference at IMEX America was an opportunity to further take ICC Sydney’s More Than a Venue client experiences across the globe.

“More Than a Venue is a vessel to share the stories from our deep community connections, innovative team and world class service that our clients experience when they bring their event to ICC Sydney.

“Our campaign and the stories behind it demonstrate our industry leadership and how we are enriching delegate experiences when they walk through our doors.”

New content is continuing to roll out to support the campaign’s hero video, which features a day in the life of a delegate, an external event planner and an ICC Sydney chef, each experiencing the ways in which ICC Sydney is More Than a Venue.
