‘Let Us Unite To Make The Upcoming Seychelles-India Day Celebrations A Success,’ Says Minister St.Ange
The Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture Alain St.Ange has called on the Seychellois Indian community to stay united to make this year’s Seychelles-India Day Celebrations successful.
He expressed these words while meeting the members of the Seychelles-India Day committee on Thursday at the House of Culture, the National Cultural Centre in Victoria.
The meeting was attended by the Indian High Commissioner Sanjay Panda, principal secretary for culture Benjamine Rose, chief executives of the National Arts Council Jimmy Savy and the Seychelles Tourism Board Sherin Naiken.
Minister Alain St.Ange said the Indian community of Seychelles is well recognised and respected for the important part they have played to make Seychelles what it is today.
During the meeting, the final touches were put on the programme for the three-day event which will be taking place on October 2-4.
The opening ceremony is set to be held at the International Conference Centre on October 2 and which will be followed by a cultural show.
Activities for the three-day event will be similar to last year but a few new elements have been added for this third Seychelles-India Day Celebrations.
This event, which has become an annual one will be a chance for all to get a true taste of India, through the cultural activities which will be organised.
