October 9, 2013 DESTINATION No Comments Email Email

Trade, taste and dance under the blooming cherry trees for the 30-year-old annual Blue Mountains bespoke celebration, the Leura Village Fair in October.

Held on the final weekend of the Leura Gardens Festival, the boutique village will transform into the hotspot for local and national artisans during the two-day street fair on 12 and 13 October. 542523

Stroll along the village strip with an upbeat backdrop of jazz to find quality hand-made local treasures and observe the latest trends on the national scene at 130 quality-selected stalls from as far as Melbourne, Byron Bay, Canberra and Wollongong.

Art collectors can search the stands and surrounding galleries for paintings, blown glass and sculptures. The epicurean can hunt and gather hand-made jams and preserves, internationally inspired flavours, and visit Leura’s local cafes and award-winning restaurants.

Search for a unique piece from local fashion and jewellery designers or a bargain from sale stalls from the village’s exclusive boutiques. The fair also features plants from Blue Mountain’s nurseries, natural skincare and essential oils, to outdoor furniture.

Between promenading the main street, enter your prized pooch before midday for the ‘Best in Show’ on Sunday 13 October with all funds raised donated to the RSPCA.

Run by the Leura Village Association, the fair has been showcasing local and national talent and products for more than 30 years.
