Limited Time Seasonal Menu Dishes Land at Morton’s Of Chicago in Shanghai

unnamed (8)Morton’s of Chicago, The Steakhouse in Shanghai’s Lujiazui business district is set to tantalize the taste buds of all steak lovers in the region with the introduction the Wagyu New York Strip steak as part of the new seasonal menu. As well as other limited-time dishes including a bone-in filet mignon steak, three lighter seasonal dishes for Spring as well as a summer blueberry dessert.

The melt-in-the-mouth Wagyu New York Strip 8oz priced at RMB 698 is the ultimate in taste and cooked to perfection. The second steak option is the succulent Bone-in Filet Mignon 14oz (RMB 688) which is back by popular demand.

For guests that would like a light and leafy accompaniment to the delectable steak additions, the refreshing Hearts of Palm Salad (RMB 118) – is a perfect pairing. This is a delicate combination of fresh palm tossed with baby arugula and sliced mango in a home-made honey poppy-seed dressing, finished with slivers of toasted almonds and topped with chunks of watermelon for a refreshing snap.

An additional new appetizer is the Grilled Oysters with Garlic Herb Butter (RMB 360) – six fresh oysters topped with herbed garlic butter, which are broiled until golden brown and served over rock salt. Perfect for sharing and also a complement to the existing oyster dishes on the menu.

A signature fish dish joins the seasonal menu, a Mediterranean-inspired choice of main with a classic U.S fish, in the form of the Olive Crusted Alaska Halibut (RMB 368). A nicely poised 8oz Alaska Halibut fillet that is pan-seared to perfection and topped with a Kalamata olive crust, the fish is served over wilted spinach with garlic homemade Buerre Blanc Sauce.

The dessert to finish with is decadent and naughty, but with a fruity nod to the warmer seasons. The Blueberry White Chocolate Bread Pudding (RMB 168) is a homemade bread pudding with garden fresh blueberries and white chocolate chips. The pudding is drizzled with bourbon white chocolate ganache and complimented perfectly with a generous scoop of Haagen-Dazs vanilla ice-cream.

To perfectly accompany the new additions to the à la carte offering, diners can take advantage of the restaurant’s impressive wine cellar corridor, which showcases an extensive wine list, consisting of a diverse variety of more than 200 international labels.
