Litany Of Global Disasters Reinforces Unquestionable Need For Travel Insurance – Meet Kirsty Lamont From Mozo
If there was ever a time or the occurrence of a series of global natural and other disasters that reinforces the need for travel insurance, then it has to be in recent months.
Just imagine the situation if you were in Nepal, injured, killed or stranded and perish the thought, without travel insurance.
With Mozo Australia’s leading travel, insurance comparison web site, I spoke with Kirsty Lamont, Director of Mozo about why travel insurance was so critical and also that when disasters like those that have happened recently occur, it is not the time to think about whether you have travel insurance or whether your travel insurance is good enough to cover you.
Kirsty also told me that travellers need to make sure they buy travel insurance as soon as they book a trip, because the trip may be cancelled due to circumstances way outside our own control.
She also clarified that travel insurance does only cover what they describe as unexpected occurrences, so if you travel to an area where a situation already exists or a travel advisory has been issued or media is reporting the scenario, then you may not be covered.
