Australian corporate travel platform Locomote, today announced the appointment of a string of travel industry hires to spearhead the growth of the company and the success of its pioneering technology.
New additions to the Locomote team include Bryan Carroll as Chief Operating Officer along with Pip Spibey-Dodd as Chief Financial Officer, and Aleksandra Bugajewska as People & Culture Leader. Co-founder David Fastuca takes on the role of Chief Marketing Officer, having previously worked as the company’s Chief Design Officer.
CEO, Sandra McLeod, along with the newly enhanced Executive team, will drive Locomote’s growth in Australia in its bid to redefine corporate travel with its innovative technology solution which has been designed to make booking business travel easier and more efficient.
McLeod said the appointment of the new hires positions Locomote for continued success as it establishes itself as a global player in the corporate travel industry.
“Over the past six months alone, Locomote has developed strategic partnerships with world-leading enterprises such as Allianz. The team has laid the groundwork to take Locomote from startup to an unrivalled corporate travel platform that will redefine the way business travel is managed. I’m confident that we now have the right team in place to successfully execute against our long term plans,” said McLeod.

The appointments come on the heels of recent investments by global travel commerce platform Travelport, which has a majority stake in Locomote.
Carroll and Spibey-Dodd join the team from Travelport where they worked respectively as VP Commercial and Commercial Finance Director under McLeod for the Global Accounts & Corporate division. Carroll brings more than 30 years’ experience in the travel industry in Asia Pacific and Europe. He will be responsible for driving business growth and leading sales and operations. With significant international experience across four continents, Spibey-Dodd is tasked with ensuring Locomote’s ongoing financial sustainability as it embarks on its growth trajectory.
Bugajewska will lead the company’s work-life and digital culture, to ensure the maintenance and growth of the fast-paced company culture Locomote has built to date.
