A new report from international travel and retail specialist Global Blue states that international spend in London’s West End is up four percent YOY to date as shoppers spend an average UK£969 (approx. RMB 9,000) per transaction, 38 percent higher than in the rest of the UK. Topping that list is China, representing 20 percent of total international spend in the West End, up nine percent YOY to date this year. Bond Street is the centre of interest for Chinese shoppers in London’s West End, with China representing 23 percent of total international spend on the street in 2014. Average spend per transaction by Chinese guests on have an average transaction spend of UK£1,450 (approx. RMB 13,000).
