Fairy floss, flowers and fresh figs feature in new cocktails launched at Sydney’s Grain Bar, designed to celebrate the longer days and brighter nights of Daylight Savings.
The award-winning bar’s colourful spring/summer-themed cocktail collection is a fiesta of seasonal fruits and blooms, made with craft liqueurs, premium spirits and avant-garde garnishes.
Cocktails feature unique ingredients created and sourced by the bar team, such as molasses bitters, vanilla pear jam, dragon fruit, bacon twists, toasted marshmallows, edible flowers, juniper berries, maple syrup, white chocolate straws and pink grapefruit foam.
Drinks list highlights include Mexican Breakfast (El Jimador Reposado tequila, Cointreau, avocado, lime and honey thyme syrup with a chilli salt rim), Caracas (Pampero Anejo rum, fig and caramel liqueur, molasses bitters topped with a caramelised fig) and Murphy’s Law (Bulleit rye, Rocky Road liqueur, dark agave and berries, garnished with rocky road).
Grain Bar manager Alexandra Dahlenburg says: “We set out to create cocktails perfect for sipping in spring and summer, to celebrate the longer days and bright nights that Daylight Savings brings. Our bartenders have let their imaginations run wild creating these colourful concoctions, coming up with a unique list worth celebrating and falling in love with again and again throughout the warmer months.”
The new spring/summer cocktails range in price from AUD 18 to 20, and are available daily from 12:00 noon til late throughout the Daylight Savings season.
