The Louvre Abu Dhabi was the focus of celebration at the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism’s event on 29 September at the Art Gallery of NSW.

Louvre Abu Dhabi’s Senior Communications Specialist Mariam Saleh Mubarak Al Dhaheri travelled from Abu Dhabi to update the key travel trade present on the exciting museum.

The ‘Universal Museum’, as it encourages every kind of visitor to explore and engage with a breadth of ideas, cultures and experiences, will open on 11 November 2017.

Louvre Abu Dhabi’s permanent collection spans millennia, mediums and civilisations.  The emphasis is on the power of cultural exchange and shared human creation and experience.  In the galleries, masterpieces on loan from thirteen major French museums will rotate throughout the year, continually refreshing the experience for visitors.

A Children’s Museum will introduce 6-12 year-olds to some of the art world’s fundamentals: the process of creation, artistic techniques and approaches and the stories behind the museum’s architecture.

Regular admission will cost $20 with young people aged from 13 – 22 years will be charged $10.   Access will be free to children under 13 years, disabled visitors plus one companion and journalists.  Admission will give you access to the museum galleries, exhibitions, Children’s Museum and public spaces under the dome.

Tours on the Louvre Abu Dhabi Masterpieces and on the Louvre Abu Dhabi Architecture are available for $13.   For General Information:  Louvre Abu Dhabi Call Centre on +971 600 56 55 66 or or
