On 14 July, Lufthansa is launching a new campaign relating to the new Disney movie “Finding Dory”, opening in German cinemas on 29 September. Entertaining promotions and an online competition will playfully accompany children and adults throughout the holiday season and make them eager to see the movie featuring the very forgetful blue tang fish Dory and other movie heroes from “Finding Nemo”. This is the fourth cooperation between Disney in Germany and Lufthansa since 2013.
Under the slogan of “Take off on unforgettable journeys”, Lufthansa will let visitors, both young and old, dive into a colorful underwater world online at www.LH.com/finding-dory. In reference to the movie, this interactive microsite invites users to share greetings in “whale speak” on Facebook. In addition air passengers and Nemo fans alike will find video clips from the movie, funny coloring books for download as well as valuable tips, checklists and services for a relaxing family holiday with Lufthansa.
More promotional activities at Frankfurt and Munich airports are scheduled for the start of the summer holidays in Hessen and Bavaria on 16 July and 30 July respectively. For younger passengers, there are colorful tattoos depicting the main characters and corresponding boarding passes for cuddly animals. “Finding Dory” screen savers at the check-in machines are meant to increase passengers’ anticipation of the cinema release on 29 September. In August children can also pass their time on board playing a “Finding Dory” water game. The campaign was developed for Lufthansa by the Serviceplan Frankfurt agency, with neulandherzer being responsible for the social media components.
With Disney•Pixar’s film “Finding Dory”, everyone’s darling Dory makes a return to the big screen. The blue tang fish lady with no short-term memory is now living happily with Nemo and Marlin in the coral reef when a thought suddenly strikes her: Her family must still be out there somewhere! And so Dory, Marlin and Nemo set off on the greatest adventure of their lives, navigating their way across the ocean to the famous California Marine Biology Institute. Once there, Dory enlists the support of the colorful personalities at the institute: the grumpy octopus Hank, who only has seven tentacles; Beluga Bailey, who thinks his sonar skills are kaput; and the extremely short-sighted whale shark Destiny. Despite having certain handicaps, Dory and her friends surpass themselves in this fun adventure, discovering the magical power of friendship and family along the way.
