Luxperience is pleased to announce Melinda O’Rourke as the newest member to the Luxperience Advisory Board. The Board is committed to continuously discovering, analysing, researching and innovating in the prestigious and experiential travel and events market. Welcoming Melinda as a new inductee will ensure the bar is at the highest level for the business event that connects specialists in aspirational and high end experiences.
“Our aim at Luxperience is to leverage our connections with the doyennes of the consumer luxury and lifestyle arena for the benefit of our delegates and exhibitors,” says director of marketing at Luxperience, Michelle Papas. “Our board members’ expertise is reflected in every aspect from the style and size of the event through to the networking festivities and the educational component.”
Melinda comes from a very impressive background in management and marketing having worked with a variety of prominent global brands. She is currently the chief business development officer with the Emerald Group Investments which manages some of the world’s leading lifestyle brands in Australia such as Bang & Olufsen, Rolex and Graff. Melinda is also founder and director of MO Luxury, a dynamic consulting business specialising in luxury goods and services. Melinda has over 25 years of experience with some of the world’s most luxurious brands including CHANEL, PRADA, and Yves Saint Laurent. Within that expertise is an innate understanding of both tangible and intangible assets including brand equity, positioning, and quality of product and service.
Also joining the board is corporate meetings veteran Belinda Mellocco, who joins prominent law firm King and Wood Mallesons (KWM) this week after many years with Henry Davis York. As KVM’s head meetings organiser, Belinda will oversee the planning and executing of innovative client events and sponsorship programs for the firm. Belinda is also the founder and chair of the Sydney Event Network, a flourishing industry body for in-house corporate event managers.
Melinda and Belinda join other respected leaders from various segments of the leading and high end experiential market including Langham Sydney general manager and international hospitality leader, Sonia Lefevre; CEO and luxury travel visionary of Aqua Expeditions, Francesco Galli Zugaro; key innovator and creative director for Decorative Events and Exhibitions, Mark Magennis and manager of premium travel strategies for Tourism New Zealand, Ariane Kuebler.
