Parnaíba in Northeast Brazil is to become a destination for high-end ecotourism, thanks to the development of a luxury residential resort and eco hotel.Construction of Pure Resorts Parnaíba is expected to begin in the next 90 days, upon issue of the development’s environmental licence.

The developer, Pure Resorts Hotels and Residences, has worked alongside government officials to draw up plans for sensitive and sustainable development of the 161-hectare beachfront site.http://www.angsana.com/en/ap-thailand-phuket/discover-value/adventure

“The team at Pure Resorts has worked incredibly hard to bring their vision to fruition,” says Ailse MacFarlane, Managing Director of Landcorp International, the project’s marketing partner. “After several years of intensive preparation, the project is finally about to receive its environmental licence. This is hugely exciting for all those involved and the tourism industry in general.”

Pure Resorts Parnaíba is the first 5* resorts in Parnaiba to get its environmental licence and its launch is expected to be a defining moment in the history of Brazilian tourism.

MacFarlane explains: “Northeast Brazil is already the leading destination for domestic tourists, attracting 36 million Brazilian holidaymakers every year, but currently there is no luxury resort offering. Accommodation is in small guesthouses with limited facilities, so adding a resort of this caliber to the mix is really going to open up the region’s potential – particularly from the perspective of international tourism.”

The resort’s location has been chosen due to its proximity to the world-famous Parnaíba Delta and Lençóis Maranhenses National Park. These incredible natural landscapes are rich in flora and fauna, including crocodiles, monkeys, turtles, crabs and various species of birds such as red ibis.

With an ethos of ‘barefoot luxury’, the developer aims to promote environmentally responsible travel to the region that conserves the environment and improves the well being of local people.

Says MacFarlane: “The resort has an array of green features and will include an organic farm and an education centre to help involve the local community in the environmental initiatives. This, coupled with the jobs the development will create for local people, has been a major factor in achieving the hard to obtain environmental licence.”

The licence will be issued in the next 90 days and Landcorp International is promoting a special investment opportunity for international buyers. In order to raise additional development capital, the developer has made 20 off-plan plots available from £20,000.

Investors can keep their plot and build a beachfront property or take advantage of a contractual developer buy-back, offering a return of 18-28%. A £20,000 investment today means you will enjoy an extra return equating to £1,200 to £1600 over 18-24 months.

The offer comes with the security of currency protection and a full refund guarantee if the environmental licence is not issued. To find out more, request the Pure Resorts Parnaíba brochure by visiting www.landcorpinternational.com.
