Luxury Escapes – Changing the Way Aussies Travel

egtmedia59From traditionally roughing it up at motels and holiday parks, thousands of Aussies have more recently upgraded to traveling five-star.

Over 250,000 Australians have enjoyed a luxury holiday in the last year with, a travel company that specialises in offering five-star holidays at heavy discounts.

“Holidays are meant to be an escape from the ordinary, but budget accommodation can make them feel mundane,” said Adam Schwab, CEO of  “But now you can get an amazing hotel stay for the same price as you would pay for your budget accommodation, so it is no wonder an increasing number of Aussies are choosing to travel comfortably.”

How about staying eight nights at a luxury beachfront resort in Thailand’s Khao Lak for just $999 for two adults and two children?  The price is likely to include daily breakfasts, a number of indulgent spa treatments, traditional airport pick-ups, perhaps a Thai cooking class and most probably a whole lot more.

“We are making it possible for Australian families and couples to spend holidays at properties they normally could only dream about,” Schwab added.

The way it works is that sends its team of well-connected experts to road-test five and six star properties and tours in Australia and around the world, while personally negotiating the prices for the affordable luxury packages.  The travel packages include unique extras such as spa treatments, luxury meals, a private butler or VIP airport transfers in the low base price.  The travel experts from personally review, test and film most properties, which are able to be viewed on the web-site before purchase.

The fine print is that the travel offers are usually available for purchase only 72 hours or for a week, with a travel period of around one year.  Plus, travel is generally not available in super peak periods such as Christmas week or over the Easter break, but otherwise there are few (if any) restrictions.

“We do have a booking guarantee on all of our offers, so if you can’t get your preferred dates, you get a full refund.  So there is no risk,” Schwab explained.

Some of the most popular properties featured over the last twelve months have been the newly opened luxury hotel Double Six in Seminyak, the Jean-Michel Cousteau eco-resort in Fiji and the five star JW Marriot Resort & Spa in Thailand.
