Croisi Europe has added the deluxe RV Indochine 11 to its fleet to cruise the mighty Mekong River between Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam and Siem Reap in Cambodia.

The 66m by 14.2m vessel has been designed with a unique contemporary European feel with a touch of Cambodian and Vietnamese influence in the fittings and hard wood finishes. All 31 cabins have full sized balconies and there are no noisy air-con boxes. It also features the largest swimming pool on the Mekong.

Passengers meet at the very stately Majestic Hotel by the river in the former Saigon for lunch and a heads up of the afternoon activities followed by a visit to China Town before being transported to this purpose built vessel and checking in.

With clever planning the programme has been extended by one night and one day for the extra excursions in HCMC by using the ship as a hotel room which costs less and is more convenient with no extra packing.

On the trip north stops and or excursions are scheduled in Ho Chi Minh City, My Tho-Vinh Long-Cai Be, Sa Dec and Chau Doc in Vietnam and Phnom Penh, Ko Chen-Kampong Tralach-Kampong Chhnang, Tonle Lac and Siem Reap in Cambodia.

All meals are plentiful with dinner comprisng four courses, chicken, beef, fish and seafood and those with special dietary requirements are also well catered for. Drinks are reasonably priced with wines starting at US$18 per bottle and local beer US$2-50, spirits US$5.

Indochine 11 is the only ship on the Mekong with an internationally renowned Bureau Veritas safety approval certificate ensuring that passenger safety is a high priority. ”We’ve raised the safety standards on the rivers we navigate, which is crucial,” said Croisi Europe’s Naidah Yazdani the company’s Asia Director. “As the first passenger ship on the Mekong River approved by Bureau Veritas, our clients have peace of mind.”

”This vessel has been designed with a charming, colonial exterior look but with contemporary interiors incorporating many elements of Cambodia and Vietnam to maintain the authenticity of our earlier vessels,” he said.

Croisi Europe cruises are discovery cruises providing a genuine experience of Cambodia and Vietnam. Staff are hand-picked, friendly, helpful and speak English.

A Mekong river cruise is an unforgettable experience and a relaxing way to discover the secrets of the Mekong River.

Cabins start from USD $2800 per person for eight nights. The Indochine 11 is the fifth and most luxurious ship in the fleet doing the Mekong River run.
