The Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) will hold its annual Magical Kenya Travel Expo (MKTE) from 12 to 14 October 2016, in its thriving capital of Nairobi.
In its sixth year, MKTE is a leading annual event in the African region, organised by the Kenya Tourism Board, the event brings together wholesaler/retailer product buyers, tour operators and hoteliers in a central place to conduct tourism business.
As one of the fastest growing exhibitions in the tourism industry, MKTE is a key event in KTB’s marketing strategy, which is aimed at increasing the tourist arrival numbers and revenue in line with their ‘Vision 2030’.
KTB will host a group of Australian buyers from key wholesalers, including product managers and decision makers, to experience the magic of Kenya firsthand on pre-famils running from 7 to 11 October, 2016. The itineraries will be created based on the buyers’ product focus and will showcase a combination of safari experiences to aid product expansion and increase leisure business to Kenya.
The buyers will then attend the MKTE which will be held at Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi and will run over three days (12 to 14 October) for the trade, with the final day open to the general public (14 October).
Throughout MKTE, delegates will engage in one-on-one meetings with a variety of suppliers, attend tourism seminars hosted by industry experts and learn how they can best utilise the offerings of the destination’s diverse products for their clientele. The event is expected to attract over 100 local and international travel agents, tour operators and media.
