41% of workers in Britain did not use all of their annual leave last year. In response to this, tailor-made trips provider and publisher Rough Guides has put together a list of great experiences to inspire people to take advantage of their days off and explore the world.

–          A recent study by YouGov, commissioned by London Stansted, reveals that nearly half of Brits don’t take all their annual leave

–          Rough Guides wants to encourage people to take the time off they’re entitled to and use it to explore the world

–          The team of travel experts at Rough Guides has come up with a list of incredible experiences – one per month for the rest of 2019

Whether you want to see a cave lit up with glow-worms, watch wildebeest migrate in Africa, or snorkel with manta rays in Indonesia, this list provides some great inspiration from the travel experts at Rough Guides.  The list is organised by month to give people an idea of when is best to do each activity. The decision was based on various factors, such as seasonality and weather.

Jenny Cahill-Jones, Senior Editor at Rough Guides, says,

“At Rough Guides we are always looking for ways to help people make the most of their time on Earth. After all, life is short, the world is big, and no-one should be sitting in an office when they needn’t be. We know that many people don’t take the time off they’re entitled to, and we hope this list can change that. There is a  good mix of experiences in our carefully-curated list, from the very calm to the very active. We hope those 41% of workers not taking all their annual leave will be inspired to take a well-deserved break and go and do something incredible, whether they book their own trip independently or choose to use our tailor-made trips service.”

The recommendations are:
