Newmark Hotel, Reserves & Lodges offer you two tempting culinary options to make Mom’s day this Mother’s Day!

OYO Restaurant & Cocktail Bar

With a delectable three-course offering for only R245 per person, Mother’s Day at OYO at the Victoria & Alfred Hotel is sure to tempt even the sternest of mothers. Starting with asparagus with poached hen’s egg, hollandaise, grana padano crisp, Parma ham and truffle or grilled kingklip medallion, avocado relish, Oakhurst olives and chorizo and squid salsa, diners will then be treated to mouth-watering main course options of pan fried springbok loin with masala butternut puree, mini fondants, rainbow carrots and garlic confit or butter poached crayfish tail with Cep angel hair pasta. This delightful meal will be rounded off with everyone’s classic favourite, apple tart tatin with apple crumble ice cream, or the equally delicious tonka bean panacotta with honey comb and berries. Moms will be treated to a lovely Sally William’s gift on arrival at OYO.

Located at the Queen Victoria Hotel, Dash is offering an elegant lunch this Mother’s Day that will delight the most discerning palate. After a complimentary glass of sparkling wine, start your culinary journey with an amuse-bouche of voluvent of caramelised onions and Grand Brie, followed by a choice of seared duck breast with potato rosti, pineapple and cherry, or “the garden” with cheese and pickles. A pina colada palate cleanser sets the scene for the sumptuous main offerings. It’s a difficult choice between Karan beef fillet with smoked potato gnocchi and wild mushrooms, and pan fried Norwegian salmon with a warm nisçoise salad, but diners are sure to be thrilled either way. This decadent repast is completed by indulging in frozen gorgonzola parfait with glazed figs, honey mousse and red wine caviar. After lunch, diners can also enjoy coffee which is the restaurant’s own unique blend especially roasted with care by Origin Coffee roasters  and skilfully prepared by their baristas or select a tea from their handpicked range of loose leaf tea infusions. R275 per person for this feast excludes all beverages.
