In a bid to serve passenger demands, Malaysia Airlines will be operating flights between Penang, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching from 18 November 2016. The national carrier will be operating this route seasonally to coincide with the peak holiday period until December 2016. The service resumes again during the Chinese New Year period.
Both Penang – Kuching and Penang – Kota Kinabalu services will be operated four times weekly. Schedule is as follows:
MH2725 Kuching to Penang 9.20am/ 11.30am on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays
MH2724 Penang to Kuching 12pm/ 3pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays
MH2732 Penang to Kota Kinabalu 12.05pm/ 3.05pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays
MH2733 Kota Kinabalu to Penang 3.40pm/ 6.30pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays
To commemorate the service, Malaysia Airlines will be running a seven-day sale where guests can travel from Penang from as low as RM169 to Kota Kinabalu and from as low as RM129 to Kuching, one way all-inclusive on Economy Class. The fare includes complimentary 30kg check-in baggage, meals and free of credit card charges. The sale starts today until 19 October 2016 for travel from 18 November to 31 December 2016.

This service is in line with Malaysia Airlines efforts in adopting a more agile and adaptive approach towards the market’s needs.
