Australia’s renowned family travel magazine, Out & About with Kids, (OAWK) announced the results of its annual ‘Best of Family Travel’ Readers Choice Awards 2017, with winners and finalists named in 20 categories, registering more than 40,000 votes.

The Awards received nominations from well-travelled families around Australia for the best local and international family resorts, holiday parks, family attractions, ski resorts, overall destinations, cruises and road trips.   Malolo is thrilled to be the shining star of the Pacific Islands.

Ahura Resorts Group General Manager, Steve Anstey comments, “We are delighted to win this award for the 2nd consecutive year, and as always, very honored to be recognised once again by the OAWK readers and our past guests.   As a 100% Fijian owned resort, the Malolo team takes particular pride in ensuring all guests and families experience the magic of Malolo and the “real” Fiji in their own unique and special way”.

Elisa Elwin owner and publisher of OAWK Magazine also says, “We are thrilled to announce the winners and finalists of our 7th Annual Best of Family Travel Awards. Our readers have spoken in their thousands, letting us know their preference in family holiday destinations and experiences in Australia and overseas. Well-deserved recognition to those tourism operators and who go above and beyond to ensure family holidays are a pure pleasure”.

Malolo Island Resort is located in Fiji’s Mamanuca archipelago just 25km/16m west of Nadi International Airport.  This 100% Fijian family-owned resort has been a long-time favourite for families and couples alike, and over the years has welcomed back thousands of return visitors.

Malolo is accessible by seaplane, private speedboat or three times daily fast catamaran.  An intimate, colonial, stylish resort, it comprises just nine acres of the 2000 acre island and consists of only 46 Bures – all with ocean views, three dining venues, spa, entertainment lounges for adults and teenagers, two pools – including one for families and one for adults only with a swim-up pool bar, cabana daybed and al fresco lounge area, plus a myriad of activities including, snorkelling, diving, island hopping and dolphin spotting.
