unnamed (31)Thailand’s leading independent resort group, Manathai Hotels & Resorts, has unveiled a range of authentic programmes aimed at families and specifically children that are rooted in Thai traditions and culture at its recently opened beachfront resort in Khao Lak.

Located in the northern part of Khao Lak on Bangsak Beach, a one-hour drive from Phuket International Airport, Manathai Khao Lak offers a picture postcard beachfront experience, with a large pool and shaded grassy areas by the golden sands of the Phang Nga province destination.

The resort recently unveiled its Kids Club with a host of activities such as Muay Thai for kids, Thai dancing and coconut weaving as well as kite flying and sandcastle making at its sheltered private bay setting. Other programmes include Little Bartenders when children get the chance to roll up their sleeves and make healthy juices from the local fruits in the area and southern Thai batik painting.

All activities are complimented by spacious, interconnecting family friendly rooms, a healthy children’s menu using the freshest local ingredients and indigenous tropical fruits, dedicated Thai staff and child minders and a concept that all children under 11 years old stay, eat and play for free.

Paradise found: Manathai Khao Lak is surrounded by lush green tropical scenery and located right on a picture postcard white sand beach.

“The resort is ideal for families to spend time together and through these activities we can connect children to Thai culture in a way that they can gain valuable insights and have fun at the same time,” said Manathai Hotels & Resorts Chief Operations Officer, Christoph Berger.

“We have a perfect beach and soft grass areas throughout the resort for families to roam around, play in the pool and be with each other. Alternatively parents can have time to themselves in full knowledge that their children are being well looked after while enjoying the environment and activities laid on for them.”

Manathai Khao Lak is situated in one of Thailand’s most pristine and undiscovered areas, in between the mountains of Khao Sok National Park, featuring the world’s oldest evergreen forest and the world-renowned diving at the Similan Islands. Both are just over an hour away.

The resort showcases 158 beautifully appointed and spacious rooms, starting at 48sqm in size, and signature Pad Thai restaurant, a beachfront culinary concept that offers cooking classes of the iconic and much-loved Thai dish.
