Mango Tree Bolsters Talent With Key Hirings At Home After Year Of Rapid Global Growth And Major Milestones
Mango Tree Worldwide has appointed a quartet of new core team members as the fast-growing global Thai restaurant and lifestyle brand seeks to deepen its talent pool and burnish its positioning as contemporary Thai cuisine’s pace-setting innovator and international ambassador.

The newly-hired management team comprises Operations Director Mathuros Wongpradoo, Public Relations and Marketing Manager Kalaya Sukprasertchai, Corporate Office Manager, Supitsara Jitjate, and Corporate Training Chef Kate Phann.
In her previous position, Ms Wongpradoo was Vice President Operations for Sakura Restaurant Co Ltd, operator of the Sakura and Spaghetti Factory brands, while Ms Sukprasertchai has spent several years in senior communications roles with Best Western Hotels and Resorts in Asia & Middle East.
Prior to joining Mango Tree, Ms Jitjate worked in senior capacities in the design and hospitality sectors. Ms Phann, a graduate of the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts Institute in Australia, has worked as Chef, Director of Sales, Venue Manager and Patissier at several high-end dining venues, including her own restaurantsInfuzions, a Sydney-based restaurant serving Thai-Asian fusion cuisine.
Trevor MacKenzie, Mango Tree’s managing director, spokesperson and the international franchising maven responsible for driving overseas growth, said each of the four new recruits had a vital role to play in the engine room of the family of brands that also includes Mango Tree Bistrobar, Mango Tree Cafe and COCA Restaurants.
“Our rapid expansion into international markets can only continue upon a rock solid brand foundation and that means having the right people with the right experience and attitude here in our home base of Bangkok,” Mr MacKenzie said.
The new recruits join a group which had a momentous start to 2015, moving closer to its declared vision to plant a Mango Tree restaurant in all of the world’s great cities with new signature restaurants opened in Washington DC and Qingdao, with Mumbai scheduled to be open in October 2015.
Mr MacKenzie said the new team was now very much focused on Milan’s food-themed Expo 2015, where Mango Tree was honoured to be chosen to represent Thailand’s cuisine by the Department of International Trade Promotion. Mango Tree will run a 70 seat pop-up restaurant, A Taste of Thailand, for a month from August 18th – September 14th, 2015 in Milan’s la Rinascente department store, a brand with 150 years of history, located in Milan’s beating heart, the Piazza Duomo.
