“We are honored to be named among the world’s best by Travel+Leisure readers,” said Jason Stafford, managing director of Manoir Hovey. “It’s a testament to our staff, who are committed to providing excellent service and hospitality to make our guests feel welcome and cared for.”

To celebrate the award, Manoir Hovey will give away a two-night stay in a luxury suite to one lucky couple in its #WorldsBestGetaway photo contest. The 37 rooms and suites are uniquely decorated in a fusion of traditional charm and contemporary elegance. Most have lake views, along with a combination of fireplaces, private balconies and therapeutic tubs. Built in 1900, the resort is modeled after George Washington’s Mount Vernon home and is located 90 minutes from Montreal and 20 minutes from the Vermont border. Guests enjoy numerous year-round activities, including fly-fishing, pontoon lake tours, kayaking, winter ice fishing, yoga, foraging tours and activities in its new teepee. Its restaurant, Le Hatley, offers some of the finest dining and culinary events in the region, with ambitious, terroir driven Quebec cuisine by Chef Francis Wolf.
