Marriott International is pleased to announce that the company has been recognized as the most preferred international brand in India by HVS India, a renowned leading hotel consulting firm.
The company also achieved placement in the top-five for most-preferred food and beverage operators. HVS India shared the results of its second Stakeholder Sentiment Survey “The Indian Owner Speaks” at the annual Hotel Investment Conference South Asia (HICSA) in April 2016.
The Stakeholder Sentiment Survey highlights the opinions, perceptions and concerns of Indian hotel owners, who own almost 30,000 hotel rooms among 35 hotel brands (domestic and international) throughout India. This represents more than 26% of the country’s hotel rooms inventory, across varied market positioning and locations.

To this end, we will increase our footprint by almost-doubling the number of hotels in the next few years and increasing our footprint from 18 cities to 30,” said Mr. Craig S. The Indian tourism industry is booming with 23 million international travelers having traveled to India in 2014 and nearly 100 million domestic tourists expected to travel throughout the country next year.
