TWO BELLMEN, Marriott International’s first original short film produced by the company’s Content Studio and luxury JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts brand announced today release of a companion album. The popular action short has already racked-up more than 5 million YouTube views and a 97% “thumbs up” rating and is catching the attention of music fans around the world. To keep the momentum and the conversation going, the Content Studio has produced a 12-song album inspired by the film’s soundtrack, including tunes created by its production partner, Substance Over Hype. The compilation album features songs by: Amp Live; D Rae; Fingazz; Inspired Flight; Jah Free; Lisa Simmons; Malakai; Scarub; Stone; andZion I. Featured artists include: Anya; Dirty Cello; Eric Rachmany; Fingazz; Malakaiand Prof.
Starting today, fans can stream the soundtrack on Soundcloud and purchase the album from iTunes and Amazon Music. It can also be enjoyed on YouTube Music Key, Spotify, Google Play, Rhapsody, and Shazam.
The album is a genre-bending mash-up of musical styles ranging from hip-hop to acid jazz to dance and downtempo to R&B and even classical. It also includes a re-work of the Bill Withers classic hit “Lovely Day.” The first single, “Queens and Kings,” is by TWO BELLMEN Director Daniel “Malakai” Cabrera and is an homage to the “Queens and Kings” of music, dance, parkour, martial arts and the extreme sports collective Substance Over Hype (many of these dance forms are featured in TWO BELLMEN. The signature song is also the subject of the brand-new original Queens & Kings music video directed by Malakai and Mike Diva (Mario Shopping Karts Edition) inspired by the blockbuster FURIOUS 7.
The TWO BELLMEN compilation was executive produced by David Beebe, Marriott’s Vice President, Creative and Content Marketing, and produced by Substance Over Hype’s Daniel “Malakai” Cabrera. Producers of the album’s original content and arrangements are John “Fingazz” Stary and Malakai.

The album represents a broad musical spectrum, evoking the jazz/EDM spirit of the Verve remix series; contemporary riffs of classical arrangements; and mélanges of raps, dance beats and pop choruses. All provide a sonic backdrop to the JW Marriott Los Angeles L.A. Live, the locus in quo of the TWO BELLMEN which is a character in the film itself.
The soundtrack brings Marriott’s Content Studio further into the territory of music production. “Music helps set the tone for any film and TWO BELLMEN is no different,” added Beebe. “Malakai and his team have done a great job of adding a sophisticated touch to the film as a subtle and vital accompaniment to the TWO BELLMAN movie experience.”

The TWO BELLMEN album debuts during MIP TV in Cannes, France where Marriott International is being honored as Brand of The Year with TWO BELLMEN as the centerpiece. It is the fifth year MIP TV is recognizing how video marketing and branded entertainment have become an integral part of engaging consumers, building brands and creating opportunities for the entertainment business.
Karin Timpone, Marriott International’s Global Marketing Officer, and Beebe gave a keynote presentation during MIP TV, featuring Malakai and members of the creative teams behind Marriott’s other recently announced production partnerships. Marriott has also just announced the upcoming release of its second short film, FRENCH KISS, an international romance set at the Paris Marriott Champs-Elysées and featuring Tyler Ritter (The McCarthys) and French actress and model Margot Luciarte in the lead roles.
