Marriott Australia celebrated a decade of support to The Humour Foundation – Clown Doctors; a foundation dedicated to promoting and delivering the health benefits of humour.
Celebrations took place last week on the Gold Coast, Australia. Amongst the bubbles, laughter and charity – Marriott Australia presented The Humour Foundation with a generous cheque for $30, 000 AUD. With this cheque, the Clown Doctors will be able to heighten their presence in children’s hospitals around Australia.
Neeraj Chadha, Multi Property Vice President for Marriott Australia spoke on belhalf of Marriott Australia saying “We are proud to act upon Marriott’s core values – putting people first, pursuing excellence, embracing change, acting with integrity and serving our world. Our organisation invests in social responsibility and community engagement initiative through our ‘Spirit to SEVRE Our Communities.’ “
Marriott’s ‘Spirit to SERVE Our Communities’ program has enabled us to continue our support of The Humour Foundation, Chadha adds.
The generosity of Marriott Australia hotels, their Associates and guests has led to over half a million dollars being fundraised over the past decade. Ian Doig of The Humour Foundation has shown tremendous appreciation towards Marriott. “They help us keep the Clown Doctors doing their rounds… help put smiles on sick kid’s faces… we simply couldn’t do it without them, many thanks Marriott.”
Marriott Australia has kept The Humour Foundation close to their heart since day one. The Humour Foundation touches thousands of children lives each and every year. On top of the generous fundraising ventures and monetary donations that Marriott Australia provides The Humour Foundation each year, they also donate $1 AUD from every full paying breakfast.
Marriott Australia and The Humour Foundation are both thrilled with reaching this milestone in their relationship and are eager to see what good they can do together for the benefit of the Australian community.
