Mat McLachlan Battlefield Tours celebrates rebrand and website relaunch, designed to deliver enhanced support and dynamic tools to agents

Australia’s number one battlefield tour operator, Mat McLachlan Battlefield Tours (MMBT), has undergone a transformative rebranding, with a new-look website, logo and marketing collateral coming into effect on Anzac Day.

Travel agents will benefit from branded desk coasters, display posters and an intuitive website designed to provide enhanced useability and information on a range of new itineraries – to make researching, selling and booking battlefield tours even easier.

The new logo reflects the heart of the company – the commemorative poppy, and the website includes interactive features such as real-time online chat with contact centre staff; latest news via social media feeds; passenger experience testimonials; profiles of expert historian tour guides; and a rolling timeline of battlefield history – making it incredibly easy to communicate key information to clients.

“The website will include enhanced search capabilities, including options to search by specific battle, destination, tour or key words, as well as high-quality destination images and detailed itinerary data, including new tours such as Walking Tours to the Western Front and Gallipoli and a 75th Anniversary Bombing of Darwin Tour,” said McLachlan Tours’ Managing Director, Peter Smith.

“For more than 20 years, MMBT founder and acclaimed battlefield guidebook author Mat McLachlan has been walking in the footsteps of the Anzacs on battlefields throughout the world, having led literally thousands of pilgrimages to major sites throughout the world, including the Western Front, Germany, Gallipoli, Greece, Vietnam, the Solomon Islands, Singapore and beyond,” said Mr Smith.

Mat McLachlan added: “Recent major battlefield anniversary celebrations, such as the 2015 Gallipoli Centenary, have driven heightened awareness of battlefield travel and significant growth in demand for tours.
