Mat McLachlan Battlefield Tours releases pricing for 2017 tours and pre-registration for major 2018 anniversary tours
Leading Australian battlefield touring company, Mat McLachlan Battlefield Tours (MMBT) has released pricing for all 2017 tours, and opened pre-registration for significant 2018 anniversary tours – with information now available on MMBT’s website: www.battlefields.com.au
Managing Director for McLachlan Tours, Mr Peter Smith, said: “2018 marks 100 years since the end of the First World War and a number of important centenary commemorations on the Western Front which will attract significant numbers of Australians – similar to the Centenary of Anzac Day at Gallipoli in 2015 – providing an excellent opportunity for travel agents to sell battlefield tours.”
Two of the most popular tours are anticipated to be MMBT’s April 2018 10-day Anzac Day on the Western Front tour, which will mark the 100 year anniversary of the Anzac Day battle at Villers-Bretonneux, and the company’s November 2018 10-day Remembrance Day Centenary tour – commemorating the end of WWI.
“It’s not too early for agents’ clients to register for these important 2018 tours, with MMBT’s $250 fully-refundable pre-registration fee designed to guarantee passengers’ seats, as well as advance information on obtaining passes for major commemorative events put on by the Australian Government – Department of Veteran Affairs,” Mr Smith added.
“The final pricing for MMBT’s 2018 anniversary tours will be available about 12 months prior to tour departure, and if by then clients no longer wish to go, there is a full refund of the pre-registration fee.”
Information on all tours is available on MMBT’s recently relaunched website, which also provides a timeline of Australia’s wartime history and brief overview of each of the major battles – designed to assist agents’ to provide information and sell in tours to clients.
