Mauritian & Seychelles Ministers Of Culture In The Middle Of Crowd At Official Opening Ceremony Of 2015 Festival Kreol In Seychelles

Hon Santaram Baboo, the Mauritian Minister responsible for Arts and Culture joined Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture and walked in the Festival Kreol parade with all the different groups which included Mauritius and Rodrigues participants as well as a large delegation from La Reunion.

On their part Seychelles was represented by delegations coming from many of their electoral districts as well as a group of youth from the islands Youth Council. Minister Baboo and Minister St.Ange were accompanied on that walk with the thousands of artists by the Government representative from La Reunion and the Mrs Rajwantee Ramrukheea, the Premanent Secretary of the Ministry of Arts and Culture as well as Benjamine Rose the PS for Culture and Anne Lafortune, the PS for Tourism of Seychelles.

Though adverse weather conditions that two Ministers were parading in the middle of the all artists and received a rousing welcome as the passed the grand stand where President James Michel and other dignitaries were seated before they moved to the stage from where Minister Alain St.Ange of the Seychelles delivered is Festival Kreol address.

“It was a real joy to see the two Ministers mixing with the artists” said many in the crowd.
