The city’s newest rooftop dining and entertainment destination, Maya Restaurant and Bar will open its doors for the first time this Friday 19th of July.

Literally floating 29 floors in the sky over Sukhumvit 22 with panoramic views of central Bangkok, A5E1253DE33EE53720D0C99BB584C307Maya comprises three unique areas to create one incredible entertainment destination.

The first – Khanna – is the modern restaurant serving inspired North-Indian cuisine, then an intimate outdoor cigar lounge – Cigarra – with Bangkok’s city scape unfolding before guests. And finally – Barra – an expansive bar serving up Maya’s signature cocktails while a DJ brings the space alive. The General Manager of Holiday Inn Sukhumvit 22, Mr. Harry Thaliwal, in which Maya is housed and one of the masterminds behind the project promises something unforgettable.

“Maya will be a talking point for not just Bangkok – but Thailand. We are not here to change tradition, but take it to the next level.”

And to celebrate it’s debut, Maya is offering 150 baht standard drinks (beer, house wines and spirits) for its opening long weekend, Friday 19th July – Monday 22nd July.CB934561F436672B3D4946224A4D8813

After one year of architectural planning and construction – Maya is ready to impress. As you walk into Maya you will be met by the open kitchen housing Thailand’s three biggest copper Tandoors and skilled chefs manning the traditional clay ovens serving succulent chicken, fresh seafood, hand made breads and much more. The full space utilises luxurious onyx black detailing, rare marbles, traditional Indian steel work and floor to ceiling windows to drink in the panoramic view of Bangkok.

The menu is based on traditional Northern Indian flavours but with modern treatment and plating. And for adventurous food lovers, there is also a seasonally updated ‘Inspired Chef’s Menu.’
Exceptional inspired signature dishes include Hare Nimbu Ki Jhinga Machli – tandoor grilled 1FEE7C4D72D1A6CCE0CCCF29D3E93724fresh Lobster marinated with kaffir lime and yellow chilli and Sarson Salmon Tikka – bishop Seed and yellow chilli spiked Norwegian Salmon, served with spicy prawn and mustard oil chutney. So palates looking for something new will be eternally enticed.

Even the building that houses Maya is an architectural feat. Held in the largest cantilevered building in Thailand – Maya is literally floating in mid-air 29 stories into the sky, 20 meters out from the main building. The total area of this outreach is an astounding 450 square meters.
“Maya is something completely new. We want people to come here and have fun – we are serious about great food, fantastic service and the best drinks! Maya is the destination,” says Mr. Thaliwal.

Be excited. Be inspired. Be Maya.
