Meatstock Melbourne Line Up Music To Make Your Mouth Water

December 22, 2017 Whats On No Comments Email Email

Meatstock the ultimate meat and music festival is returning to Melbourne on the 17th – 18th March and the music lineup set for 2018 has just made it even more mouth watering.

Meatstock Melbourne is extremely proud to be hosting iconic rock god Tex Perkins, alongside a great line-up of Aussie artists for punters to feast their ears on including Henry Wagons and The Davidson Brothers.

Rock legend himself, Tex Perkins will be hitting the stage bringing his original yet archetypically Australian sound to Meatstock. Perkins has played a key role in Australian music, from the groundbreaking experimental sounds of pub rock to the lilting, dark country of his recent material with the Dark Horses. After five solo albums, Tex Perkins will be lighting up the Saturday night stage.

Henry Wagons

Unanimously lauded as one of Australia’s greatest entertainers, Henry Wagons will be bringing a different taste of music to Meatstock. Known for their outlaw country rock, they’ve released six albums and will be bringing a rollercoaster performance to Melbourne.

The Victorian born and bred brothers, Hamish and Lachlan Davidson, will be bringing The Davidson Brothers back to their home state. After extensively touring Europe, the United States and many parts of Australia with their famed Australian Country Music, the boys will bring a acoustic style of country to the ears of festival goers.

Music and meat could not be a better combo, and festival directors Jay Beaumont and Simon Luke are stoked to return to Melbourne,
“We are wrapped with what we have put together for Melbourne this year and wanted to make sure great food is supported with great live music! We can’t wait for the carnivore crowds to get amongst it”.

If bands, beers, barbecue and good banter isn’t enough, there is plenty more to see at Meatstock. Two of the sauciest men in barbecue Big Moe Cason and HillBilly Wes will be front and centre at Meatstock Melbourne running barbecue classes and demonstrations for both competitors and public.

Also at the food filled festival, 50 BBQ teams will be basting and barbecuing in the hopes of being crowned the best in the business with a sweet $8,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs.

Your good old local butcher could also be competing at this year’s foodie festivities. Over 20 butchers will be battling it out to be dubbed the best in carving, so if your local butcher wins the crown, looks like you’ll have the best looking lamb shanks in the nation!

The steaks have never been higher with the return of the carnival for carnivores to Melbourne and the 2018 music line up is just another reason to sink your teeth into this grilled and barbecue filled festival.

Tasty tickets are available right now from and best be fast, as last year the festival sold out days before the meat doors opened at Melbourne Showgrounds.

Grab a weekend superpass for $55.00 per person and a single day pass for $35.00 per person. With every ticket, a child under 12 gets in free, so get in quick so you can get your brisket.
