Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay Resort will host Masters of Food & Wine events on November 11 and 12, 2016. Inspired by the resort’s sophisticated art touches, the events will combine delectable food and wine with Chinese ink art, presenting a unique sensory experience for invited guests.
The events will start with a special canape — a live painting show, presented by Executive Chef Kyo Lin and Chinese artist Zhu Jingyi, using edible ingredients to showcase the beautiful scenery of Sunny Bay. A gala dinner will then highlight fresh Hainan ingredients and local culture, paired with fine wine selected and serviced by Li Meiyu, the wine director at Park Hyatt Beijing. The events will be held in Chamber, a distinctive space with lighting in the shape of oversized calligraphy brushes suspended over carpeting patterned with Chinese brush strokes.
Renowned for its design and artistic touches, Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay Resort was designed by award-winning Belgian architect Jean-Michel Gathy and is furnished and decorated with about 1,300 paintings and sculptures. It resembles a private mansion by the sea, with sophisticated, elegant and residential interiors that reflect a subtle Chinese sensibility, offering guests a tranquil, rarefied art-walk experience.
