“Meat Me BBQ night is meant for carnivores,” said Bradley Froehlich, W Taipei Executive Chef. “Along with the tempting hot food from the kitchen, we prepare the char-grilled BBQ main courses from around the world, our chef’s-secret-recipe Harissa marinated lamb chop, California spiced beef tenderloin, Mongolian style pork loin, Coconut lime curry chicken satay, Peri Peri frog legs, to Mexican spiced chorizo for guests to choose.”
The Butcher Block is the 3-meter mouth-watering welcome Charcutiere station featuring 6 Artisan cured meats such as Iberico Salchichon (the exquisite seasoned sausage with the delicious flavor of Iberico pork which goes well with red wine), Spanish Lomo, and handcrafted Iberico leg, pairing with 5 Imported cheeses when stepping into “Meat Me” BBQ night at the kitchen table restaurant. Homemade Duck confit & cranberry rillette and Salmon rillette are the best duo with the freshly baked bread. Succulent seafood Raw Bar offers prawns, abalone, mussels, scallops, and clam. Chinese BBQ (Peking duck and Smoked chicken) and Pizza Station (Blackened beef with blue cheese, Mexican chorizo with pepper Jack cheese, and 5-sliced-meat) are hot from the oven. 15 Hot Food dishes are an array of scrumptious cuisines, like Smoked brisket, Braised pork cheeks, Moroccan style prawns, Lamb saag gosht, and Lemon & herbs roasted chicken. The alluring Carving Station is definitely the highlight of the night: Porchetta tri fecta (pork loin/force meat/tenderloin) and U.S. beef rib eye with Yorkshire pudding, assort mustards and salts. For the fun factor, the restaurant talent passes around the surprising small-proportion entrées, e.g. Chicken tikka skewers, Fraldinha spiced Brazilian beef Tenderloin or Taiwanese sausage with garlic and paprika rub.
The kitchen table is on level 10 of W Taipei, where to explore international cuisine inspired by flavors and spices from all over the world. With bright yellow and white hues with a lofted, spacious and happy atmosphere showcasing the colorful ceramic “Chrysalis” butterfly installation on the walls. The restaurant is adjacent to the al fresco dining area with a barbeque station while gazing at the dazzling city skyline.
