The MEET TAIWAN Networking Event kicked-off this morning at Concorde Hotel Singapore. Sponsored by Taiwan’s Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) and organized by the Taiwan External Trade Development Association (TAITRA) and Taiwan Trade Center Singapore, the event successfully enticed a delegation of nine Taiwanese MICE companies that included representatives from travel agencies, MICE consulting firms, airlines, as well as over one hundred Singaporean counterparts in the industry to join the networking event.

Highly Recommended by Foreign Media: The Beauty of Taiwan

Renowned internationally for breathtaking scenery, a diverse culture and heritage formed by the integration of different ethnic groups, local food delicacies, a safe and convenient environment, highly professional convention centers, and outstanding MICE services, Taiwan is rated as one of the most ideal destinations for incentive tours of Southeast Asian corporations.

The Executive Director of the MEET TAIWAN program, Ms. Lily Su, excitedly announced that Taiwan was listed as one of ”Lonely Planet’s Top Asia Spots for 2016” and as destination for ”2016 National Geographic’s 10 Best Winter Trips in the World”. International recognition has made Taiwan a more popular choice for foreign corporations for MICE business.

Creativity makes different

In the networking event, representatives from Taiwan’s top 7 MICE suppliers and 2 airlines provided the Singaporean delegates with alternative themes and diversified choices for events and meetings, such as Work and Life Balance – groups in Taiwan have a quick getaway with convenient access to mountains and seashores within an hour; CSR activities – various possibilities to carry out social responsibility while having events; and Team Building – innovative methods to re-build and re-communicate with group members. All these presentations show the strength of creativity of Taiwan MICE suppliers. With top-notch MICE facilities and services, matched with diversified local experiences, Taiwan is definitely a fine destination for associations and companies in Singapore.
