With three-quarters into the year, the country continues to show how it is ‘More Fun in the Philippines’ to the delegates of the 2017 ASEAN Summit by actively accommodating its remaining meetings in pursuit of enhancing cooperation within the ASEAN states.
The Philippines’ chairmanship coincides with ASEAN’s 50th founding year. Themed “Partnering for Change, Engaging the World”, the theme reflects its host’s advocacy to promote unity with and among the member countries and their global partners.

An expected 28,000 participants from all over the world will flock the Philippines to attend 283 meetings in the country, proving the ability of the nation to host international, high-level appointments and conventions, in world-class MICE facilities and properties all over the nation.

More than just being tourist destinations, Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao, Laoag, Palawan, Albay, Boracay, Pampanga, Iloilo, Bohol and Tagaytay City are among the chosen locations that will play host to various ASEAN events from January to November 2017.

It is anticipated that the exposure given by the 2017 Philippine ASEAN hosting will fuel further tourism infrastructure and properties development in the country for the coming years. The economic gains provided by the Philippine ASEAN hosting will bring about a complete cycle of progress to both the public and private sectors, which will impact the Filipino’s lives on micro and macro levels. Further, the hosting will reinforce the public and private sectors’ relationship with improved cooperation.
