Held throughout the month of April, State Makers is a festival of tastes, experiences and ideas, which will serve as an introduction to the talents at play in the historic State Buildings.
The programme features over 100 individual events and stretches out beyond the stellar food and drink offering, to workshops, one off experiences and sessions with noted West Australian artists and creatives. This inaugural series of events delivers on developer Adrian Fini’s vision of opening the State Buildings to the people of Perth.
Christos Pavlidis, General Manager of Food and Beverage, State Buildings, commented, “We are excited to put the producers and craftsmen up on stage during the month of April. We have spent a great deal of time ensuring we are working with the best quality suppliers in WA and they all have a great story to tell”.
Anneke Brown, General Manager, COMO The Treasury commented “Our wonderful property is so much more than a place to stay – it’s a place to learn about wellness, enjoy conversation, share knowledge and discover one’s epicurious nature. The State Makers program has been carefully curated to allow people to explore this aspect of the hotels offering,” said Brown.
State Makers is at heart, a celebration of West Australian creativity; a chance to meet the people behind Australia’s most anticipated and lauded precinct. Since opening the doors of the State Buildings in late 2015 the development at Perth’s historic centre has grabbed international attention and acclaim; from the sympathetic restoration, to restaurants that are redefining the Perth restaurant scene to the opening of COMO The Treasury (an Australian first), and the showcasing of West Australian artisan talent.
