“Melaspas” Ceremony at Alaya Resort Kuta

Alaya Resort Kuta will be conducting a ritual Balinese blessing ceremony called “melaspas” on Sunday, 03rd May 2015. This is a traditional cleansing ceremony that must be performed for any new business venture, property or home prior to occupancy. It is essentially a purification ritual to eliminate any negative elements that could be potentially harmful. Spiritually, this date will bring the resort to life in preparation for its partial opening from15th May 2015.

Melaspas is an auspicious ceremony carried out by followers of Bali’s Hindu faith and it is one that has been passed down through the generations until today. This religious undertaking features special offerings, symbolic rites and sacred mantras. It is being held at Alaya Resort Kuta so that employees and future guests will feel at ease and a sense of harmony permeates the entire property.
