Melbourne Star Observation Wheel has appointed a new Tourism Sales Manager, Lucy Woodward.

Previously the Trade Sales Manager ANZ for Merlin Entertainment at SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium, Lucy will now oversee western, Japanese and Korean partners as well as online travel agency partners.

Commenting on the new appointment, Melbourne Star Observation Wheel Head of Sales and Marketing Nicole Hill said, “Lucy will be instrumental in maintaining our strong momentum with international visitors. Year on year our international visitation has grown by 25%, and we are forecasting continued growth in this market,”

“Melbourne Star offers private catered cabins which offers a new way to experience Victorian food and beverage while getting a new perspective of Melbourne. They are becoming increasingly of interest to international incentive and business groups especially.  In early 2020 we anticipate welcoming our two millionth passenger.”

Bringing over ten years of tourism and sales experience to the role, Lucy has also worked with The Intrepid Group & AAT Kings.

“It’s an exciting time for tourism in Victoria, and Docklands especially, due to the ongoing growth of The District Docklands offering,” said Lucy on her appointment.

In 2017, she won the Les Clef d’Or Tourism Industry Professional of the Year.
