Melco Resorts & Entertainment (Nasdaq: MLCO) is committed to making a difference in the community and supporting local charitable organizations. Melco recently co-organized a track and field sports day in collaboration with Macau Special Olympics (MSO) at Olympic Sport Centre Stadium, Taipa for the third consecutive year. The purpose of the event is to encourage people of all abilities to compete at their optimal level, boosting self-esteem, promoting recreation, sports and social integration. Nearly 40 volunteers from Melco attended the event, with over 150 athletes and their family members joining sports competitions and tournaments.  Melco volunteers took part in competitions including relay races and family group three-legged race.

Ms. Akiko Takahashi, Executive Vice President, Chief Officer of Human Resources and Corporate Social Responsibility of Melco Resorts & Entertainment, said, “Melco is delighted to continue co-organizing this very meaningful event with Macau Special Olympics for the third year running to promote social integration and encourage persons of all abilities to compete to their best ability. We would also like to express our gratitude to the Melco volunteering team who dedicate their personal time to benefit local charitable organizations such as MSO, helping to extend the company’s commitment to responsible corporate citizenship to the community.”

Melco advocates giving back to the community and actively supports, encourages and facilitates volunteer programs for employees throughout the year. Last year, Melco employees dedicated over 136,000 hours to volunteerism to benefit 40 local NGO’s, with more than 9,700 employee headcounts recorded at volunteering events.
